2025: WEEK SEVEN

I’m a bit late to this but starting on lucky number 7 will hopefully bring me some good vibes 🤞🏻

It’s been a mixed bag of a week:

👩🏻‍💻 Meetings and other behind-the-scenes stuff.

🌊 Needed an escape, so headed to the beach to watch the waves on a windy day.

🌅 Watched the sun set over East Lothian.

🥘 Met up with friends for bants, rants and scrans.

🎯 Attended the Premier League Darts at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow as media.

So, was “it just a noisy hall…and all that jazz” or did it give “the old razzle dazzle”?

I was blown away (pun intended) by the polished performances, amazing cast, and impressive set design. Transitions between scenes were seamless.

🤘🏻🎤 DAYSEEKER: DARK SUN TOUR 🎤🤘🏻

The gig was absolutely incredible! Dayseeker’s Dark Sun tour rocked the roof off SWG3 in Glasgow. My favourite band right now, Rain City Drive, were supporting them. Superbly spectacular!

The other support band, Heart of Gold, were awesome too. Loved their sound - synth rock pop. Think The 1975 but with a bit more oomph. Bloody brilliant!

And, of course, Dayseeker were spec-tac-u-lar! A “post-hardcore” band with frontman and vocalist, Rory Rodriguez, who has some set of pipes of him! Rounding off the night with an amazing rendition of Evanescence’s My Immortal. 🤯

The gig was absolutely incredible! Dayseeker’s Dark Sun tour rocked the roof off SWG3 in Glasgow. My favourite band right now, Rain City Drive, were supporting them. Superbly spectacular!

The other support band, Heart of Gold, were awesome too. Loved their sound - synth rock pop. Think The 1975 but with a bit more oomph. Bloody brilliant!

And, of course, Dayseeker were spec-tac-u-lar! A “post-hardcore” band with frontman and vocalist, Rory Rodriguez, who has some set of pipes of him! Rounding off the night with an amazing rendition of Evanescence’s My Immortal. 🤯

For one week only (8th - 15th August), @playbill chartered @ambassadorcruiseline Ambition and turned it into a “floating hotel”.

It is no secret that finding affordable accommodation in Edinburgh during the Fringe is harder than a jellybean jigsaw, so with room for up to 1,300 guests, the FringeShip was a great addition to Edinburgh for tourists and performers alike, amidst the accommodation fiasco, and with stays starting at £179, that’s considerably cheaper than what many Fringe-goers have paid to stay in Edinburgh during August.

🍹🍓 FOODIES FESTIVAL EDINBURGH 🍓🍹

This weekend, the UK’s biggest celebration of food, drink, and music returned to Inverleith Park in Edinburgh.

The @foodiesfestival has seen a line up of top chefs like MasterChef finalist @sarahrankincooks cook their delicious dishes; fun activities like axe throwing; challengers take on spicy food challenges ; flavours from around the world with a fab variety of street food vendors; bakers making show-stopping cakes; live music and so much more!

I went along on Saturday and was very lucky to have the weather on my side. It was a nice, sunshiny day where we all sang along and enjoyed the merry vibes of the Foodies Festival.

Last Friday, I was invited along to The Edinburgh Food Festival press launch by @assemblyfest.

Not only was I treated to some delicious food and drink provided by the traders and vendors at the food festival (some were also competing in the Scottish Street Food Awards this weekend), but we were lucky enough to have MasterChef finalist @sarahrankincooks cook for us.

It was such a nice, chilled evening with good people and a great sampling of what’s on offer at the @edfoodfest.

Experience the taste sensations in the Assembly George Square Gardens until Sunday 28th July.

FYI, I got “The Katsu” from @eatkebabbar and it was banging! 🤌🏻💋
