REVIEW: Greatest Days | Take That Musical, Edinburgh Playhouse

"A fun and heartwarming nostalgic trip to the 90s that delivers a poignant and thought-provoking punch."

Greatest Days, the official Take That musical, body pops its way to Edinburgh Playhouse this week.

Celebrating 30 years since the release of the band’s first ever UK number 1 single Pray, this jukebox musical tells the story of five best friends and their obsession with a boy band over the years.

The cast all have their individual moments to 'Shine', performing with a great mixture of comedic and emotional range.

The lads in the boy band have boundless energy and dance with moves that have come straight from Take That’s Top of the Pops heyday.

The five musicians, hidden from view, superlatively create the Take That sound that has the audience dance and sing along.

Greatest Days is a fun and heartwarming nostalgic trip to the 90s that delivers a poignant and thought-provoking punch.

Ok, so if you have a little 'Patience' and 'Never Forget' that 'Everything Changes' but Take That’s 'Greatest Day' is 'Back For Good'. Yeah…that’s plenty, Jenna!

Greatest Days is at the Edinburgh Playhouse until Saturday 2nd September 2023.
