Rock royalty rolled into a rainy Glasgow last night, turning the city’s Green into one wild night!
Performing their last night in Europe of their double headline tour, legendary rock icons Mötley Crüe and Def Leppard delivered a high voltage gig for the steadfast Scottish crowd.
Kicking off the night were tour support, Mammoth WVH, fronted by former Van Halen bassist and son of the late Eddie Van Halen, Wolfgang. The band performed an impressive and polished set, delivering cracking vocals and banging tracks.
Despite the downpour, fans were treated to 90 minutes of timeless Def Leppard classics like foot-stomping “Armageddon It”, melodic masterpiece “Hysteria” and apparently every stripper’s favourite “Pour Some Sugar On Me”.
From golden vocals to harmonising guitars, Def Leppard reminded us of why they’ve captivated crowds for decades.
The never subtle Mötley Crüe brought their notorious on-stage personas complete with wild hair, garish garbs, and drummer Tommy Lee donning a kilt nearly showing a little too much of himself.
Making the atmosphere an electric frenzy, Mötley Crüe performed red hot hits like the air-punching “Dr Feelgood” and the high-octane “Kickstart My Heart”.
With two jam-packed sets full of big guitar and drum solos, killer pyrotechnics and props, and even the flashing of requested “titties”, Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe certainly delivered an unforgettable night that left their fans wanting more…just as they did back in the 80s.
