REVIEW: Queenz - The Show With Balls! | Usher Hall, Edinburgh

“Everyone can be a Queen!”

🏳️‍🌈👸🏻 HAPPY PRIDE DAY - QUEENZ REVIEW 👸🏻🏳️‍🌈

Back in March, I was a plus one to what was definitely the hottest ticket in Edinburgh that night. And in honour of today being Pride Day, I want to share it with you.

It was a colourful night. It was the night I popped my Drag cherry at the sexy sparkling show, “Queenz - The Show with Balls!”

I had absolutely no idea what to expect but let me tell you, it was flamboyantly phenomenal!

Not only did the Queenz command the stage with their glitteringly glam glad-rags and wildly impressive stiletto wearing choreography, it was their powerful vocals that sent the atmosphere stratospheric!

They performed remixed and reimagined anthems from the fiercest females and most infamous divas like Beyoncé, Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga, The Spice Girls as well as some unexpected musical mashups!

With singing, dancing, and some funny bits for adult ears only, each queen brought their own charm and charisma, energy and talent.

“Queenz - The Show with Balls!” is the trailblazing, life-affirming drag extravaganza “with not a lip-sync in sight” and where “everyone can be a queen!”

USHER HALL

Scotland’s only five-star concert hall, today’s Usher Hall is an extraordinary blend of historical and contemporary, traditional and modern, inside and out. A stunning Edwardian building, the Hall was extended in a 2010, adding a thoroughly modern façade that cradles the side of the original building, providing even more and better accommodations to a wider range of performers and audiences.

Every year, they play host to performances across the full musical spectrum — classical and jazz, rock and pop, world and folk — as well as kids’ concerts, comedy, chat, dance and so much more.

If that’s not enough, they also welcome conferences and corporate events, away days and VIP nights.
